Hi! My name is Lizzy and I’m a sophomore from Grand Rapids, Michigan studying social work and Spanish at Hope. I’ve been studying Spanish since kindergarten so I’m excited to spend a semester in Salamanca, Spain to learn more of the language and use what I have learned. I can’t wait for the field trips we will take to nearby cities on the weekends (including a trip to Portugal!), eating lots of paella, and meeting people from all over the world! Someday I hope to return to Spain and backpack El Camino de Santiago, a famous pilgrimage through most of northern Spain ending in the city of Santiago de Compostela.
