Danai Mandebvu ’25 – IES Abroad London, England

Hi! My name is Danai Mandebvu and I am a junior double majoring in theatre and global studies at Hope. I am also an international student, born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. I will be studying theatre abroad in London with IES Abroad London’s Theatre Studies program.

I have participated in Hope’s Theatre Department as an actor, lightboard operator, sound board operator, assistant stage manager and usher for multiple productions. I have also worked in the Theatre Department’s publicity team and as a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Theatre course. Outside of theatre, I have worked as a resident assistant and neighbourhood coordinator as part of Residential Life. I also work on campus for Print and Mail Services.

Storytelling is important to me and I believe this study abroad experience will help me grow as a storyteller. I’m also excited to explore and immerse myself in London’s culture and share it in my blogs!
