Kaitlyn Goeman ’25 – IES Abroad Granada, Spain

¡Hola! My name is Kaitlyn Goeman and I am a junior at Hope College studying Elementary and K-12 Spanish Education! For the Spring 2024 semester, I am studying abroad in Granada, Spain through the Study in Granada IES Program. I will be taking classes in Spanish at the IES center while living with a local host family!

I am originally from Grand Haven, Michigan — a small beach town about 25 mins away from Hope’s campus, so it will be quite the challenge to be living so far from home for so long. While living abroad, I am excited to grow through many challenges, moments of gratitude, and everything in between! I am also looking forward to learning more about Spanish culture while living with my host family and exploring the world around me.
