Hello everyone!
My name is Rachael Grochowski and I’m a senior majoring in English literature and Japanese Studies with a minor in French. While at Hope College, I’ve loved working with summer ESL programs through the Fried Center, participating in IMAGES: A Reflection of Cultures showcase, and coaching the Nykerk Even Year Play. On campus one can usually find me studying in the Martha Miller Rotunda or grabbing an iced coffee (what I like to call my “liquid motivation” for tackling assignments), but this semester I’ll be practicing my French and sipping espresso in Nantes, France!
While abroad, I am most excited to live with a French family! Whether we’re eating galettes or taking the tram together, I look forward to discovering the ins and outs of daily life in Nantes with my host family. I’m off to explore the sixth-largest city in France, so stay tuned! I can’t wait to share my French adventures with you!
