Kimberly Breyfogle ’21 – CYA Athen, Greece

Hi! I’m Kim Breyfogle and I’m majoring in chemistry and Spanish. That leads to the question: what on earth am I doing spending a semester in Greece? In the future, I’m hoping to go into archaeology, so Greece is the natural choice to be able to do that! At Hope, I do research with the chemistry department and am active in Habitat for Humanity.

If you’ve been following the blogs at all, you might remember that I spent last semester in Quito, Ecuador. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be immersed in a completely new culture and language (it’s going to be a true sink or swim for me on that one), and I’m so thankful that I get to spend the whole year abroad in two separate locations. I’m looking forward to taking you all on my adventures through Greek history, language, and culture!
