Ernesta Cole ’21 – Liverpool Hope University

Hello Hello! My name is Ernesta Cole and I will soon be a junior, double majoring in Sociology and English with hopes of becoming a Sociolinguistic professor. I am a Phelps Scholar Alumna and current RA in Scott Hall (shoutout to the fabulous first floor). In addition, I did summer research for the Phelps Scholars Program, and the English department.

I was born in The Gambia, raised as a Sierra Leonian, now with plenty of Holland/American influences. I enjoy reggae pop, spicy California rolls, analyzing literature, advocating for justice and experiencing culture!

In Liverpool, I hope to dive into its diversity, learn more about its history while attempting to connect it to mine, and ultimately grow as a person with this new experience of independence.
