Hey everyone!
My name is Abby Howe, and I have the awesome opportunity to study down under in Gold Coast, Australia. I am a junior studying Elementary Education major with a Music minor, and I plan on pursuing both of those while I am abroad. I will be living in the middle of a large campus with a half-hour trolley ride away from the coast. While I am there, I will be completing some gen ed requirements in addition to volunteering in an elementary education internship. I am also a violinist, so I will be practicing and performing with a local community orchestra.
I am originally from Saint Clair Shores, MI, which is on the East side of the state, and I was drawn to Hope College partially because of the beauty the West side has to offer. My family and I go camping a lot which is where I found a love for exploring and seeing new places. I have never traveled out of the country before, so it is very excited to embark on this big adventure!
