SKI! SKI! SKI!

I love to ski! This past weekend I went skiing at Crystal Mountain, which is about two and half hours away from Hope. Four of my other friends came with me and we took a fun road trip to Thompsonville, Michigan. My friend Priscilla had never been skiing before this trip. She really enjoyed learning how to ski and by the end of the day she had tested out two black diamond runs. A couple people in our group took a couple tumbles, but no permanent danger was done. Thank goodness!

The entire day was so much fun. It was nice to leave campus and eat in the lodge and ski for hours. During the evening it did cool down, but thank goodness we brought hand-warmers along with us. I liked night skiing even more because there were no lines for ski lift. However, the slopes accumulated more ice in the evening. When we had finally finished skiing, taking off the ski boots felt like a twenty pound weight had just been lifted off my body. I loved being able to walk around normally again.

The car ride home was also a lot fun. It consisted of pigging out on trail mix and jamming out the entire time. We also did some late night shopping at Wal-Mart and made a pit stop at 7-11 to indulge in a yummy slurpee.

The weekend was amazing! We will definitely be taking another ski road trip in the future!!!
