After 35 years as the Physics Laboratory Director, Kevin Gardner will retire in December 2013. Kevin started as the laboratory director at Hope before all of the current faculty were here and when VanderWerf Hall was a separate building. Now the building is a part of the “VanderPlex” and he was providing support not only to the Physics Department and the Engineering Department. We hope to see him around the department again next fall, teaching a laboratory section or two while relaxing the rest of the time.
Hopefully he won’t really need to use the clock the Physics and Engineering departments presented to him while he’s enjoying the gulf shores with his wife Cathy this winter! We wish them all the best!
