- Managing Editor
- The Managing Editor works closely with the Editor-in-Chief to manage communication channels between editors, staff, authors, and outside contributors.
- Reviews pieces and assists in decisions regarding publishing.
- Provides critical insight to the Editor-in-Chief and must be detail-oriented.
- Subject Editor: Natural Sciences
- Connects with authors whose pieces relate to the natural sciences in a timely manner to discuss their work and the potential for publication.
- Holds efficient meetings with each author throughout the editing process to ensure the integrity of the piece.
- Communicates with both the Editor-in-Chief and the Stylistic Editor regarding the status of the pieces.
- Subject Editor: Social Sciences
- Connects with authors whose pieces relate to the social sciences in a timely manner to discuss their work and the potential for publication.
- Holds efficient meetings with each author throughout the editing process to ensure the integrity of the piece.
- Communicates with both the Editor-in-Chief and the Stylistic Editor regarding the status of the pieces.
- Subject Editor: Visual and Performing Arts
- Connects with authors whose pieces relate to the visual and performing arts in a timely manner to discuss their work and the potential for publication.
- Holds efficient meetings with each author throughout the editing process to ensure the integrity of the piece.
- Communicates with both the Editor-in-Chief and the Stylistic Editor regarding the status of the pieces.
- Stylistic Editor
- The Stylistic Editor makes final edits on each piece prior to them being sent to the publisher.
- It is imperative that this person has a strong grasp of the rules of grammar and the intricacies of the English language.
- Marketing Manager
- The Marketing Manager coordinates table tents (digital signage) to advertise events and important dates.
- Additionally, the Marketing Manager will create promotional materials such as stickers and postcards.
- Business Manager
- The Business Manager will coordinate with the Social Media Manager to plan events.
- The Manager will take care of expenses acquired by the Bell Tower and keep detailed memos of all expenditures.
- The Business Manager will also serve as a secretary during meetings and will coordinate with the publisher regarding printing costs.
- Publication Manager
- The Publication Manager will work closely with the publisher on details related to publication.
- The Publication Manager will keep track of dates regarding publication and arrange distribution of the completed journal.
- Social Media Manager
- The Social Media Manager will post to the Bell Tower Instagram Page regularly and ensure that staff biographies, author introductions, and advertising are all up to date.
- Website Coordinator
- The Website Coordinator manages the Bell Tower Webpage and posts virtual versions of each publication.
- Coordinates and formats the digital editions of publications
- Design and Layout Manager / Graphic Designer
- The Design Manager will design the journal cover and organize written pieces and visual art into an engaging and cohesive journal for publication.
- Photographer
- The Photographer will take headshots for staff to be posted on the website and social media.
- The Photographer will also take images to accompany articles in both the physical and virtual journals.
