The CAT team is recognizing the hard work and dedication of The Annual Philanthropy Team Michael Niederer and Cathrine Dacloush. Together, they make it possible for people to easily give back to the college by creating successful annual giving campaigns and maintaining strong community relationships within increasingly high expectations and dynamic annual goals. This is what Mary Remenschneider said about this team:
Michael Niederer and Catherine Dacloush – A team that works on behalf of the whole college every day to make it possible for us to do our work and for students to experience an incredible Hope education. They spend every day creating ways for people to give back to the college, to provide funds to the operating budget so they don’t have to come from tuition dollars, they partner with campus offices to highlight their funding needs and communicate those to alumni, parents, and friends, and they are tireless in developing new ways, new opportunities that inspire people to stay connected to their alma mater. Last year, it was the Squirrel Campaign, this year, the Ornament Campaign, and every year, the Hope Fund, Giving Tuesday, and Day of Giving. It’s a tough job.
With Giving Tuesday around the corner and calendar year-end giving (which brings in almost 25% of our annual philanthropy revenue for the year), I thought this could be a great time to recognize their efforts.

This year the Annual Philanthropy Team developed the “Ornament Campaign” during Giving Tuesday which occurred on Tuesday December 3, 2024. This campaign was an opportunity for people to receive an inaugural limited edition Hope College Ornament for people who give $50.00 or more to the Hope Fund, Hope Forward, or Anchored Tuition.
