The Trajectory of Hope

The Holland Area Historical Society will host a program titled “The Trajectory of Hope” on Tuesday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. The presentation will be held in the Maas Auditorium, Maas Conference Center, Hope College, Holland, Michigan. Maas Auditorium is located at 264 Columbia Avenue on the Hope College campus.  The public is invited, and admission is free.

Hope College received its charter in May 1866, and in 2016 celebrates the college’s sesquicentennial year.  Dr. Jacob E. Nyenhuis, Editor in Chief of the Van Raalte Press, Director Emeritus of the Van Raalte Institute, and Professor of Classics and Provost Emeritus of Hope College, will tell stories drawn from his forthcoming book on this important milestone charting the development of the college over the intervening years.
