Student Vs. Food Hamburger eating contest

So today has been an incredible day so far. It started off great when I ate lunch in Phelps with the Mexico mission trip group. The day continued to get better when I my hour and a half jazz class ended an hour early. Since my class ended early, I was able to finish up all of my homework. Then dinner was super entertaining because Phelps put on a food verse student hamburger eating the contest. The burgers were huge and were piled high with toppings. It looked like four burgers combined into one. The contestants had 30 minutes to eat as much as possible. My stomach felt sick just watching the six guys try and finish the burger. Only one guy was able to finish the whole thing, and he definitely put it away. If it had been a pancake eating contest or something without meat I would have been the first one to sign up.

After dinner I played on my ultimate Frisbee team. The sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day to play outside. I really enjoy playing intramurals at Hope, because people play just to have fun and run around. After our game our team shot hoops at the Dow for a while. Later tonight I have Gilmore Bible study; then I’m heading to half off appetizers with some friends at Applebee’s. This has been awesome Thursday to kick off the weekend.

Until next time,
