Student Blogs

Check out Spanish Study-Abroad Blogs to read up on experiences our students have had and to get a sense for what program might be good for you.

Hope’s Fried International Center also maintains a blog written by students participating in Spanish- and non-Spanish-speaking programs alike.

We hope to also share links to blogs of former students who are doing/have done some pretty cool things. Check these out!

Becca Kragt (2011, Spanish/Religion) served with the Mennonite Central Committee for a year in Bogotá, Colombia with a program called SALT, Serving and Learning Together.

Amber Rogers (2012, Spanish Ed) traveled back to Spain–she did her study-abroad there–on a year-long Fulbright English Teaching Assistant award, and stayed on for a second year.

Sharon Hecker (2013, Spanish/English Ed) taught English at Abundant Life Christian School in Honduras. Sharon is a great writer and you should check out her other blog as well, where you can read about her study-abroad experience in Argentina, among other things.
