Hi everyone, my name is Maria and I’m so excited to be sharing my experiences with you all! As a senior nursing student at Hope College, I have the opportunity to live and learn in the city of Chicago this semester. In addition to taking classes, I am participating in an internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
I work alongside experienced nurses to develop my clinical skills and learn about what it takes to be an excellent RN. When I’m not in class or on the unit, I enjoy running and biking on the lakeshore trail, going to museums, and exploring the city. I also hope to play some pick-up soccer at one of the nearby parks once the snow melts! Most of all, I’m thankful for this opportunity to live and work in the city. I look forward to keeping you updated on how my life in the city is going throughout the semester.
