Manna Sakon ’21 – UPAEP Puebla, Mexico

Hello! My name is Manna Sakon and I am a junior studying K-12 Spanish Education with an ESL endorsement. I will be studying in Puebla, Mexico, to immerse myself in the Mexican culture and to improve my Spanish-speaking skills.

I lived in Tokyo, Japan, for ten years and I am a Japanese native assistant at Hope. I am also part of a Japanese-English bilingual bible study, Friday nights. I enjoy watching movies, taking naps, trying new food, and socializing (when I want to).

I will be living with a host family and attending UPAEP, Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla. I am beyond excited for the opportunity to explore the city, to meet new people, and, of course, to try new food.
