Kirsten Thomas ’21 – TEAN Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia

Hey, I’m Kirsten Thomas. I am from Ypsilanti, Michigan and am currently a Junior studying Exercise Science at Hope. I will be at Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia, this semester. While in Australia, I hope to make some life-long friends, take a step out of my comfort zone, and learn how to surf! Also, petting a kangaroo would be a dream come true!

Through Hope, I am a part of Young Life. I am a leader on the Holland High Young Life team. As a leader, I get to hang out with high school students and teach them about the Lord through relationships and fun! This year, I also joined Hope’s International Justice Mission (IJM) team. I got to run the social media accounts for the team, and had a blast helping plan events and learning more about how we can stop human trafficking!

After my time at Hope, I plan on going to graduate school to become a surgical Physicians Assistant (PA)! I was able to observe multiple surgeries while in high school, and cannot wait to perform one of my own one day!

Thank you!
