Hello readers!
My name is Kassie Lamar and I am currently a junior at Hope College. I am double majoring in business and communications and I am very excited to take my studies abroad! I grew up in Holland, MI while I attended Hamilton high school which was surrounded by cornfields. Due to my rural upbringing and my experiences in West Michigan, I promised myself that I would study abroad. With that, I am excited to announce I will be studying abroad in Sydney, Australia at the University of New South Wales.
I chose Australia for multiple reasons. One of them is so I could follow in my Dad’s footsteps as he lived in Australia for a few months when he was my age. While I am in Australia, I hope to open my mind to different cultures, ideas, activities, and people just as he did. By doing this, I plan to make myself a more well-rounded and educated person with a handful of experiences in my pocket.
While being surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and an exciting urban environment, I have no doubt I will be able to make long-lasting and cherishable memories. I can’t wait to take you along with me on my journey!
