My Hope friends came to Denver! It was such an exciting weekend full of all the Denver necessities! It brought me so much joy showing my people my home for the semester. We ate some delicious food, saw some incredible sights, and listened to way too much Adele.

On Saturday, we explored a farmer’s market and ate a delicious lunch at my favorite spot, Cheesman Park. We then went to the trendy area of RiNo (RiverNorth) and hopped from restaurant to restaurant. Our food was so delicious, and I will be frequenting those establishments in my own time very soon. At one restaurant, we sat up on the rooftop right at sunset, which was just absolutely perfect!

We made their last day the best one yet, and it truly felt like the most perfect day. We woke up early and headed to Red Rocks Amphiteathre. Although they didn’t get to see a concert, we got the next best thing by driving right in front of Machine Gun Kelly’s tour bus (who was playing there that evening.) We freaked out a little, searched for Megan Fox (no luck with that), and went for a little hike around the amphiteathre. We then drove to Idaho Springs and did the Echo Lake to Idaho Springs Reservoir trail. It was definitely in the top 3 hikes that I have done out here. We were all just so content with life for those 3 hours of hiking. The views were incredible and the company was somehow even better!

After a strenuous hike, we went to downtown Idaho Springs, which is the most perfect little mountain town (right out of a Hallmark movie). We ate outside in the middle of the mountains, and I think we all agreed that it was one of the best meals we had ever had. Maybe it was because we were all starving, or maybe it was actually that good. As our day was coming to a close, we all reminisced on how this is a trip we will tell our kids about one day (kind of cheesy, but also kind of wholesome). Thanks for visiting me friends, you make me feel loved <3
