Visiting Writers Series: Cristina García

Author Cristina García will be on campus on Thursday, Oct. 14 for the second installment of this semester’s Jack Ridl Visting Writers Series. Her visit will include a WTHS interview at 11:15 a.m., a question and answer session in the Herrick Room in DeWitt at 3 p.m., and a reading at 7 p.m. in the Knickerbocker Theatre.

García has written five fiction novels: Dreaming in Cuban, The Agüero Sisters, Monkey Hunting, A Handbook to Luck, and The Lady Matador’s Hotel, which was just published on Sept. 7. In addition, she has edited two anthologies, written two children’s books, and released a collection of poetry entitled The Lesser Tragedy of Death.
