Research Posters

Working on a research poster? There are several different resources on campus that can help you. Copy Works, the heart of printing at Hope, has a tip sheet on their website full of information. There, you can find advice and templates for both regular and tri-fold board displays. When making your poster, remember to put all the information on one large slide rather than several smaller slides. This will make the next step of the process, printing, much easier.
After you’ve created your poster, there are two different places where your poster can be printed. The Media Services desk on the second floor of the library is able to print posters that are 24″ wide and up to 100′ long, though most posters are either 18″ x 24″ or 24″ x 30″. At the library, each standard size poster you print will cost $5. You can either submit printing jobs online or save your project to a flash drive and bring it to the Media Services desk.

Posters can also be printed at the Science Center. Posters printed at the Science Center are up to 42″ wide and up to 150′ long. Pricing is different for posters printed at the Science Center, and printing has to be coordinated with a professor.
