My favorite memory from Hope was my off-campus study program in Chicago with such a great group of people working together toward God’s purpose. I thank Hope and Chicago Semester for all the amazing memories from my time in Chicago and the lifetime lessons learned through service to diverse, underserved communities. I transitioned from a student nurse to an RN and I feel confident in my abilities as I transition away from Hope. While it was cut short, it is definitely a semester that will forever impact my perspective of how we engage others with a spirit of hope and compassion.

I am thankful for the friendships I have from all departments I’ve been able to be a part of, but Latino Student Organization has given me a family that I’ll forever cherish. The memories and events we shared together will never be forgotten and is a big part of my Hope experience I’m most proud of and will remember most. Thank you Hope for a full four years, onto the next chapter!

Some of my favorite memories at Hope College are with the Kappa Beta Phi sorority. This sorority has given me some of my best friends. The countless memories of staying up late watching scary movies, having pancake dinners, going on coffee dates, having sleepovers at the Haworth Inn during finals week, having early morning Bible studies, and so many more are close to my heart. I am so grateful for this organization and the relationships I have made through it.

Hope has given me so much over my 4 years, but the best thing it gave me was Sigma Iota Beta and all of the amazing women within it. I found my best friends who I have been able to travel the world with, live in an 11 person house with, grind in the library with, and have endless dance parties with. I’m so thankful for Hope and all of the people it brought into my life.
