Thank you for working over campus shut-down!

In a special edition of Thankful Thursdays, the CAT team is recognizing the hard work that occurs on campus during campus shut-down, especially the work of our Campus Safety and Maintenance Staff for their service to the college all year round. While the campus is closed this year from December 23, 2024 through January 1, 2025, these Hope employees stay to work their regular hours to ensure the integrity of our campus buildings and the safety of a handful of students who may also be on campus over the break. We have a deep appreciation for your consistent dedication to ensuring that Hope College remains a safe environment for the entire Hope College Community!

In addition, we would also like to recognize some other groups that may need to work from time to time over campus shut down, including Global Engagement, Residential Life, the Tennis Center and Athletics. This year, the Tennis Center is hosting “Doubles Bash 2”  on December 27 and the Athletics Department is hosting the Glenn Van Wieren Classic on December 20 and 21 at the Dow.

We realize that we may have missed some groups, please send us a note letting us know if you, your group or team needs to come to campus to work over the campus shut-down. We would like to recognize everyone who puts in that extra work.

Again, special thanks this year to our Campus Safety Team and our Maintenance Staff. We are so very grateful to you every single day, all year round!
