Culture and Inclusion

Thank you Counseling and Psychological Services!

We can not thank the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team of professionals enough for their support, commitment, and dedication to the well-being of our entire Hope College community throughout the year, especially now in the wake of the tragic loss of our beloved Jennifer Kasunick. During these past couple weeks as our entire campus has been in mourning, the CAPS team provided countless resources and support to our community, providing departments with resources and support and equipping those who sought their services with essential strategies and tools necessary to cope and process Jennifer’s untimely passing.

The CAPS Team is a dedicated group of professionals who provide expertise, compassionate support and confidential consultation not only in times of great loss, but in their day-to-day service to our community. Services range from educational programming, assessments, group and individual counseling sessions and referrals to resources and other programs when necessary in order to ensure the most comprehensive care for our students.

In addition, CAPS provides important training for campus community members as well as a wide variety of resources on many mental and behavioral health topics to Hope College faculty and staff. Custom presentations are available upon request through their request form on their website.

So if you are wondering how best to support your students especially during difficult times, please contact CAPS for more information and resources – they are happy to guide you and your students through.

Meet the CAPS Team
