On Saturday October 29th, Hope College computer science students John Dood, Nathan Vance, and Roger Veldman competed in the 2016 ACM ICPC East Central North America Regional Programming Contest.  They competed at the Grand Valley State University Site, one of four in the region.  During the five hour competition they were able to write programs to solve 3 of the 10 problems they were given.  This earned them 9th place out of 26 team at the GVSU site, and 45th out of 126 teams in the region.  For a little perspective, only 20 teams solved 5 or more problems.

Nathan and John are seniors from Holland and Grand Rapids, respectively, while Roger is a sophomore from Hudsonville.  The students did a great job!  And perhaps just as importantly, they had a great time competing.
